Update and Edit Limits

Your website care plan includes ongoing content updates, small design adjustments, and general maintenance to keep your site fresh and accurate. This article explains what types of updates are covered, how often you can request them, and how the edit limits work within your plan.

What’s Included in Your Unlimited Monthly Updates

Your plan covers regular updates and small changes to your existing website. These may include:

• Adding or updating text and images

• Uploading posts or portfolio items

• Adjusting buttons, links, or layout details

• Swapping out existing content such as pricing, contact info, or staff photos

• Minor design refinements to existing pages

These updates are meant to help you keep your website current without needing to manage it yourself.

What’s Not Included

Larger design or development requests that go beyond quick content updates are typically considered separate projects. Examples include:

• Full page redesigns or completely new page layouts ($200 for any additional new pages).

• New functionality (such as new forms, booking systems, or features)

• Major rebranding or new site styling

• Migration or redesign of the full site

For these types of larger updates, your plan includes up to one hour of work each month at no extra cost. If your request requires more time, additional hours are billed at $100 per hour.

Edit Limits

Your care plan includes unlimited small edits, as long as each request fits within the scope of general content or layout updates. This means you can submit as many small changes as you need throughout the month, there is no strict limit.

However, each request should be concise and focused on a specific change or page. Grouping unrelated or large batches of requests into a single ticket can delay processing and might require a separate project if it exceeds the normal update scope.

Here’s an example of what fits within an unlimited edit:

Acceptable: Replace a paragraph of text and update a few photos on the About page.

Not Acceptable: Add five new pages with new layouts and unique design sections.

How to Request an Update

For a more detailed guide on how to request an update, check out this article: Submitting a Ticket Step by Step

To request a change, simply submit a ticket through your Client Portal using the “Request a Content Update” option. Include as much detail as possible and attach any files or images needed for the update.

Once your request is received, I’ll review it and confirm if it fits within your plan. If it’s a larger change, I’ll let you know before starting so there are no surprises.

What You Can Expect

• Unlimited small edits and updates to keep your site fresh

• Up to 1 hour of larger updates (excluding new pages)

• Quick turnaround times for typical requests

• Clear communication if a request falls outside your plan’s scope

• No hidden fees or surprises, you’ll always know what’s included

Your website care plan is designed to make maintaining your site easy and stress free. Whether you need a quick text swap, an image change, or a small layout tweak, simply send it in and I’ll take care of it.
