How Billing Works During Cancellations or Plan Changes

Your website care plan is designed to be flexible so you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. This article explains how billing is handled when you make a change to your plan or decide to end your coverage.

Upgrading or Downgrading Your Plan

If you choose to upgrade or downgrade your website care plan, the change will take effect at the beginning of the next month.

This ensures your billing stays clean and consistent, you’ll finish out your current month under your existing plan, and your new plan rate will begin automatically on the first of the following month.

Example:

If you upgrade from the Essential Plan to the Growth Plan on March 20, your new Growth Plan rate will start on April 1.

If you downgrade, you’ll still receive the full benefits of your current plan until the end of the month. For example, if you’re on the Growth Plan, you’ll continue to receive analytics reports up to your downgrade date.

To get the best long-term results and trend comparisons from your analytics reports, I recommend staying on the Growth Plan for at least one full quarter before downgrading.

Canceling Your Plan

If you decide to cancel your plan, you’ll continue to receive all plan perks and support until the end of your current billing period.

Once your plan term ends:

• Your hosting coverage will stop, and your website will be taken offline from my managed server.

• You’ll assume full responsibility for hosting, maintenance, and security going forward.

• You’ll owe the minimum build cost outlined in your agreement in order to receive your website files for transfer.

Once payment is received, I’ll send you a full copy of your website files so you can host them independently or with another provider.

Coming Back Later

If you ever decide to come back, I’ll be happy to welcome you back into a care plan.

Your website can be reconnected to my hosting and maintenance system at any time. In most cases, all that’s needed is a short review of your site files to ensure everything is up to date before resuming coverage.

In Summary

• Plan changes take effect at the beginning of the next month

• Full access to your current plan perks until the end of your billing cycle

• Hosting ends and files are transferred after cancellation and final payment

• Easy reactivation if you decide to return later

Your care plan is built to work around your business needs. Whether you’re adjusting your plan, taking a break, or returning later, I’ll make sure the transition is smooth and your website is always in good hands.
